Campo di Bella

Winery Dining Farm Lodging

Farmstay

Welcome to Campo di Bella Farmstay. We have created a wonderful private retreat above our winery on our 20 acre working farm. You will enjoy the amenities of a “home away from home” with the sights and sounds of country living. We raise a herd of black mulefoot hogs and a flock of Old English Southdown Babydoll sheep along with some chickens, ducks, a couple of barn cats and a friendly farm dog named Stella. We grow our own vegetables and have a small fruit orchard. Our vineyard has over 300 vines which we use to produce a medium bodied Wisconsin dry red wine. We have amazing views overlooking Blue Mounds State Park and one of a kind sunsets from our 2nd floor guestroom suite and living area. Our winery and guest suite are powered by the sun with a 9.75 kW solar array.

The Space

The bedroom has a king size bed with dresser and night stands as well as a comfortable leather chair. The bathroom is next to the bedroom and has a shower with glass door. The living room space has leather couches with an additional convertible sleeping sofa, and all the comforts of the modern home. Wifi, HDTV with local broadcast channels only and a bluetooth speaker system is provided so you can bring your own music to enjoy. The space is also furnished with hardwood acacia floors and cedar wood ceiling. The bedroom and living space are located on the second floor and accessible by stairs.

Guest Access

You will be staying at a working farm and are welcome to enjoy self-guided tours for certain areas of the farm - ask your host/hostess for details. Lodging is located in second floor of our winery. Access to the winery lodging is through the front door via a electronic keypad. You will be provided the access code upon arrival. You are welcome to enjoy the outdoor pergola/patios surrounding the winery when availability permits. We hope you will join us for dinner and or wine tasting with winebar menu on Fridays and Saturdays. Please review our website for a list of farm-to-table dinner and cenettas. The cost of dining and wine are not included in your lodging reservations. You may make reservations for a dinner on-line.

Interaction with Guests

We will be happy to greet you when you arrive and make sure you are settled in. You will be visiting a working family-run farm, winery and farm-to-table restaurant and there maybe times when we are assisting other guests and are unavailable. We are happy to help with any questions you may have. We are available by phone or text during normal business hours.

Other Things to Note

Our Winery Tasting and Dining room is open to the public on Friday evenings and Saturday afternoons and evenings. You will be staying above a working winery and restaurant and therefore there will be some sounds of merriment from below. We close at 9:00 P.M. and our winery guests typically leave shortly thereafter. Please note that we have a holding tank based septic system. All used water is drained into underground tanks with fixed volumes that need to be periodically pumped and hauled away. Please be eco-friendly and conserve as much water as you can to reduce enviromental impact. Since this is a working farm, there will be activity throughout the day including tractors, farm equipement, landscaping and related activities that may cause some noise and disruption.

Amenities

Our guest suite is air conditioned during the summer months and heated during cooler months. We offer hand and bath towels, soap and toilet paper. We will be happy to launder your bath and hand towels when needed. We encourage guests to be nature-friendly by hanging up their bath towels and reusing them during their stay. We provide free wifi and an HD flatscreen television with local broadcast channels. We do not offer satellite or cable television. The television is connected to the internet so there is access to streaming movies or television shows through your own provider. Parking is complementary and is located in front of the winery. There are fire extinguishers located in the guest suite along with smoke and carbon monoxide detection systems. A coffee maker is available in the guest suite as well.
